Rolls-Royce | The “Mighty” MT30 Marine Gas Turbine

Rolls-Royce wanted show their high end ship engine under difficult conditions.

For this project I worked on the stormy sea scenes at the later stages of the video. Once we had assembled a fleet, RnD was performed by me in how we might go about making stormy sea simulations.

With the use of Phoenix FD's wave force effector, I experimented with different wave speeds to find one that was sufficiently stormy looking but also not too violent.

I helped the lighting and rendering team setup the fluid mesh and also the foam and spray particles ready for farm rendering.
